When can we outlaw animal cruelty in Australia?

By Tiffany Zhang

Animals are entitled to the possession of their own lives and that their most basic interests—the need to avoid suffering—should be afforded the same consideration as similar interests of human beings.

However, thousands of greyhounds are effectively abandoned by our laws in Australia, but it is time to reignite our call to outlaw animal cruelty.

Most people do not take enough notice of how much Greyhounds devote themselves to our services.
We live in a society that recognises dogs as cherished companions and beloved family members. In these modern times, there is no place for a ruthless gambling industry that so callously uses these trusting dogs.

Help us create a brighter future for greyhounds –

  • Share your story with greyhounds to generate more traffic on our social media
  • Save them from racing by adoption so that we could restore them to long-held position as family member.
  • Engaging ban greyhounds racing activities or petition in Australia to raise more awareness and social pressure to promote legislation eventually.
